Menopausal symptoms can be distressing and affect your
self-esteem, work-life balance and relationships
Our consultant gynaecologist, Ash Alam, can help with the physical changes women experience around the time of the menopause, offering a range of treatments and medications including hormone replacement therapy, non-hormonal alternatives, testosterone, vaginal moisturisers, dietary and lifestyle advice. Ash has provided treatment and advice for numerous women with sexual and menopausal problems, from hot flushes, mood swings and vaginal dryness to lack of sex drive.
Our psychotherapist, Emma Mathews, can help you to adjust to some of the emotional challenges that the menopause brings, as menopause often brings with it difficult emotions including anxiety, low mood and low self-esteem. Emma is also an experienced psychosexual and relationship therapist and can help you to renegotiate your relationship and sex life during and following the menopause.
